Great to meet you!

My name is Susan Nakaweesa. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am a certified parenting education instructor and certified in maternal mental health counseling. I love helping children and adults overcome their distress and other concerns that destabilize their mental health and well-being, and collaborate with my clients to formulate treatment that is suitable for their concerns.

My approach to therapy

I work with children 8 and above, and adults through anxiety and depression with a focus on trauma and crisis as well as prenatal and postnatal depression in mothers. My approaches are evidence based and eclectic, tailored to meet the unique needs of each of my clients. Among these approaches are reality therapy, strength-based therapy, and CBT therapies.

What you can expect from me

Life can be bumpy and tough. Often times, we may be surrounded by loved ones, friends and colleagues but still feel extremely lonely, sad, worried and depressed. The good news is you do not have to walk this journey alone. I am committed to walking this journey with you if you let me.
