Great to meet you!

I’m Sydney Hatchel, a Licensed Professional Counselor with 5 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults through anxiety, trauma, stress, relationship challenges, ADHD, and major life transitions. I also enjoy working with families and helping parents navigate behavioral and emotional challenges with their children.

My approach is warm, empowering, and solution-oriented. Together, we’ll focus on understanding what’s getting in the way, building practical skills, and creating meaningful changes that carry into your everyday life. My goal is for you to feel understood, more confident, and better equipped to handle whatever you’re facing.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to each client. I draw from CBT, trauma-focused therapy, family and relational approaches, and other evidence-based techniques to help you understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical tools for change.

When working with children and teens, I incorporate developmentally appropriate activities and parent collaboration when helpful. No matter your age, my goal is to create a supportive space where you can recognize your strengths, work toward your goals, and feel empowered to move forward.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about getting to know you and understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’re experiencing, what you hope to change, and what has or hasn’t been helpful in the past.

You don’t need to know exactly what to say or have everything figured out. We’ll work together to identify where to begin and create a plan that feels realistic and meaningful for you.
