Great to meet you!

Real growth starts with change—and it begins with one honest conversation.

Hi, I’m Ta-Nisha, a licensed mental health therapist helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s hardest moments. I believe you are the expert in your own life—my role is to walk alongside you, helping you navigate your thought processes, understand your patterns, and move toward the change you want to see.

My approach to therapy

I work with individuals, couples, and families using a warm, integrative approach rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and person-centered techniques. Clients dealing with trauma (past or recent), anxiety, stress, depression, mood disorders, grief and loss, communication struggles, and relationship or family challenges are welcome. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for something different, therapy can be a powerful place to start. I don’t believe in “one-size-fits-all” therapy; instead, we’ll tailor sessions to what works best for you.

I also support first responders navigating burnout, cumulative stress, and the invisible toll of showing up for others every day. Whether you're a firefighter, EMT, law enforcement officer, or other first responder, therapy can be a space where you don’t have to explain everything—just breathe and be heard.

What you can expect from me

My background encompasses over 20 years in the mental health field, to include crisis response and extensive work with youth and adults across Michigan, North Carolina and Florida, including years of supporting high-risk teens and individuals with developmental or learning challenges in residential treatment settings.

Let’s talk about what’s been holding you back—and how to move past it.
