Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Talena Johnson Odell, MAMFT, MA, LPC. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with graduate training in marriage and family therapy, and I provide virtual counseling for adults, couples, and families.

Life can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of what to do next. I work with people facing ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, relationship difficulties, divorce, caregiver stress, and major life changes.

My style is warm, honest, and down-to-earth. You do not need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say before coming to therapy. We will take the time to understand what you are experiencing, recognize the strengths you already have, and find practical steps that fit your life.

If your Christian faith is important to you, we can include prayer, Scripture, and faith-based reflection in our work together. This is always your choice and will be personalized around your beliefs and comfort level.

My hope is that you will feel welcomed, heard, and supported as we work together toward meaningful and lasting change.

My approach to therapy

Your story, experiences, and needs are uniquely yours, so therapy should never feel one-size-fits-all. We will work as a team to understand what you are experiencing, recognize your strengths, and find practical ways to help you move forward. I will listen with compassion, offer honest feedback, and gently challenge patterns that may be keeping you stuck. If Christian faith is meaningful to you, we can include it in a way that feels natural, respectful, and personal.

What you can expect from me

Our first virtual session is a chance for us to get to know one another and talk about what brought you to therapy. You do not need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. Together, we will explore what you hope will change and begin creating a plan that feels realistic for your life. My goal is to provide a warm, welcoming space where you feel safe being honest, asking questions, and growing at your own pace
