Great to meet you!

Hello my name is Tam and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a passion for helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and move toward healing, stability, and personal growth. I believe that everyone deserves to be heard, understood, and supported without judgment.

My clinical approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I work collaboratively with clients to identify their strengths, explore patterns that may be holding them back, and develop practical tools for coping and change. I strive to create a safe, respectful space where clients feel comfortable being open and authentic.

I have experience working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and complex social stressors. My background in social work allows me to view each person holistically, considering emotional, psychological, social, and environmental factors that impact well-being.

Above all, I believe in meeting clients where they are and walking alongside them at their own pace. My goal is to empower clients to build insight, resilience, and confidence as they work toward a healthier and more fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is client-centered, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe, respected, and actively involved in their treatment. I meet clients where they are and tailor treatment to their individual needs, strengths, and goals.

I use evidence-based practices to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while also building practical coping skills for everyday life. I take a holistic view of each person, recognizing the impact of life experiences, relationships, and environmental stressors on mental health.

Therapy with me is not about judgment or labels—it is about creating a space for insight, growth, and meaningful change. I work alongside clients to explore patterns, process difficult experiences, and develop healthier ways of coping.

Ultimately, my goal is to empower clients to increase self-awareness, resilience, and confidence as they move toward the life they want to build.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation of trust and understanding. We will review what brought you to therapy, discuss your goals, and explore any current concerns or stressors you may be experiencing. I will also gather some background information to better understand your experiences and needs.

This session is collaborative and moves at a pace that feels comfortable for you. There is no pressure to share more than you are ready to. My role is to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and help clarify what you hope to gain from therapy.

We will also review important information such as confidentiality, session structure, and expectations for treatment. By the end of the session, we will begin identifying areas of focus and next steps for our work together.

Most importantly, the first session is a safe, supportive space where you can speak openly and be yourself. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, respected, and hopeful about the process ahead.
