Tamara “Tammy” Burrowes is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who earned her Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Washington Adventist University. She has extensive experience working with children, families, couples, and individuals navigating life challenges such as trauma, substance use, and dual diagnoses.
Tammy is passionate about holistic therapy and believes in supporting the whole person mind, body, and spirit to help clients create meaningful change and live a full, joyful life. She specializes in trauma-informed care, with a particular focus on healing intergenerational trauma, and she uses a variety of evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and mindfulness practices.
Known for her ability to connect with people from all walks of life, Tammy brings warmth, compassion, and positive energy into every session. She creates a safe, collaborative space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors while developing skills to move forward with confidence and resilience.
Outside of her clinical work, Tammy enjoys living life, spending time outdoors, cooking, traveling, dancing, listening to music, and sharing quality time with her family.
