Great to meet you!

Finding the right therapist can be challenging, especially when you're dealing withanxiety, depression, trauma, or diffi culties that have persisted despite your bestefforts. You deserve someone who takes the time to understand your experiences andworks with you to fi nd a path forward.

I specialize in working with adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, adjustment diffi culties, gender dysphoria, and complex or persistent concerns, including chronic pain and insomnia. Throughout my career in clinical, educational, andmilitary settings, I've developed a deep respect for the resilience people show in hardcircumstances.

I'm naturally inquisitive, and I want to understand who you are, not just what you'refacing. I'm warm and supportive, and I'm also comfortable asking diffi cult questionswhen it helps you grow. My philosophy is simple: respect people as individuals, recognize their capacity for change, and support their right to determine the directionof their own lives.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, individualized, and grounded in evidence-based psychological treatment. Drawing on my clinical experience working with adults in healthcare, educational, and military settings, I tailor treatment to each person's concerns, circumstances, and goals.

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify unhelpful thinking patterns, understand connections between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and develop healthier ways of responding to challenges. Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) focuses on improving relationships, communication, and adjustment to life changes. Through Problem-Solving Therapy (PST), we identify specific problems, explore possible solutions, and develop practical action plans.

For trauma-related concerns, I use Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to help clients examine and modify beliefs associated with traumatic experiences. I also incorporate behavioral interventions to address concerns such as chronic pain and insomnia.

During sessions, we may explore difficult experiences, examine established patterns, practice new coping skills, or develop strategies to apply between appointments. My style is flexible, ranging from warm and supportive to direct and challenging when appropriate. Throughout treatment, I emphasize collaboration, personal autonomy, and meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will take place through a secure telehealth video appointment. This initial meeting is an opportunity for us to get acquainted, discuss what brings you to therapy, and begin developing an understanding of your concerns and treatment goals.

I'll ask questions about your current difficulties, relevant personal history, and what you hope to accomplish through therapy. You'll also have an opportunity to ask questions, share your concerns, and discuss what you believe is important for me to understand.

I recognize that meeting with a new therapist can feel uncomfortable, particularly when discussing sensitive or personal experiences. We'll approach these conversations thoughtfully, with respect for your comfort and individual needs.

Together, we'll begin identifying treatment priorities and discussing how we might work toward your goals. My aim is to establish a foundation of trust, mutual respect, and open communication that supports a productive therapeutic relationship.
