Great to meet you!

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but you don’t have to figure things out alone. I’m Tamara Whittleton, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with adults navigating stress, anxiety, depression, and major life changes. I focus on creating a supportive environment where clients feel comfortable talking openly while developing practical strategies for growth and healing

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and focused on helping clients build practical tools for everyday life. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), strengths-based therapy, and solution-focused techniques to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and patterns. I work with clients to identify goals, develop coping strategies, and create meaningful change at a pace that feels comfortable and empowering.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about your current concerns, goals, and what you hope to gain from therapy so we can begin building a plan together. My goal is to create a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. By the end of the session, we will begin identifying goals and next steps for our work together.
