Great to meet you!

I help adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or worn down by long-term stress learn practical tools to feel more in control of their lives. I’ve been a therapist for over 25 years in both outpatient and hospital settings, and previously worked with veterans at the OKC Veterans Affairs trauma clinic. My style is calm, direct, and collaborative — I’ll listen closely, validate what you’ve been through, and also gently challenge patterns that are keeping you stuck.

My approach to therapy

I primarily use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which means we’ll look at the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. When we can spot and shift distorted or unhelpful thinking, you can start to feel less anxious, less depressed, and more confident in your day-to-day life. We’ll set clear goals together and break them into manageable steps, so you always know what we’re working on and why.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I’ll ask about what’s bringing you in now, what you’ve already tried, and what you’d like to be different in your life. I’ll also ask some background questions about your history, supports, and any medical or trauma history that feels important to share. By the end of the session, we’ll agree on a starting plan together so you leave with a sense of direction — not just having “told your story.”
