Great to meet you!

I am accepting both in-person and virtual appointments! As a board-certified PMHNP and longtime resident of the Eastern Shore, I bring 30 years of clinical experience to providing compassionate mental health care for patients across the lifespan. While I have extensive expertise in adult and geriatric psychiatry, I specialize in supporting the unique wellness needs of children and their families. My practice integrates both expert medication management and supportive therapy to create a holistic path toward healing. I am dedicated to serving our local Maryland community and am currently welcoming new patients for comprehensive psychiatric care.

My approach to therapy

I believe that effective mental health care requires a partnership built on trust, active listening, and a deep understanding of each patient’s unique life story. My style is holistic and collaborative, integrating evidence-based medication management with supportive therapy to address both biological symptoms and emotional well-being. I prioritize clear communication and education, ensuring that whether I am working with a child’s developmental needs or the stressor of parenthood, the patient and their family feel fully empowered in their treatment decisions.

What you can expect from me

In-person or virtual, for your first session, you can expect a dedicated, comprehensive 60-minute evaluation focused entirely on information gathering. It is deeply important to me that I understand all realms of your life, including your history, environment, and physical health, to ensure your care is truly personalized. We will spend this time building a safe, supportive space where your story is heard without judgment. Together, we will then collaborate to make informed choices and set goals that achieve the positive mental health outcomes you deserve.

Controlled Substance Policy: To practice safely and effectively, I require three past progress notes from your previous psychiatric or primary care provider before managing or prescribing any controlled medications (including stimulants and benzodiazepines). Please note that no controlled substances will be prescribed or refilled during our initial consultation or intake appointment. I look forward to connecting and collaborating on your care.
