Tammy Ochoa-Billings

I am a licensed clinical social worker with twenty years of experience in the mental health field. Prior to my mental health experience I was a teacher in an Elementary setting and Social Worker in the High School/District level that allowed me to assist with multiple family dynamics. I later worked at a Rural hospital assisting multiple clinics as well as the acute behavioral health department which further allowed me to work in a diverse cultural population. This variety allowed me to grow as a therapist while working with all ages of the life cycle. Further, I have worked extensively with Combat Veterans struggling with adjusting back into the civilian lifestyle and the multitude of challenges this may bring as well.

My therapeutic approach is that I provide support and intentional feedback to help clients effectively address personal life changes using a variety of modalities to include individuals, families, and couples. I meet clients where they are at utilizing a strength base approach with compassion and understanding.

I pride myself on being able to connect with clients and work together to bring about change in their lives. My approach not only allows clients to feel safe and be heard, it allows clients the opportunity to be themselves and speak freely without judgment to cultivate positive change.
