Great to meet you!

I’m Dr. Tanika Motley, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC, LCSW, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience providing compassionate, holistic mental health care. I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of South Alabama and hold dual master’s degrees in Nursing and Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. I specialize in women’s mental health and support children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, mood disorders, stress, and life transitions. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to each client’s unique needs, with a focus on helping individuals feel heard, empowered, and confident in their healing journey.

My approach to therapy

I take a collaborative, individualized approach, tailoring care to each person’s unique needs and goals. I combine comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, thoughtful medication management, and personalized psychotherapy. My focus is on helping clients build emotional resilience, strengthen communication, and improve coping skills. I partner closely with clients and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated, effective care while fostering empowerment and self-confidence.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, my goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where you feel heard and understood. We’ll review your history, current concerns, and goals for treatment. From there, I’ll work with you to develop a personalized plan that may include therapy, medication, or a combination of both. You can expect a supportive, collaborative environment where your questions are welcome, and your unique story is valued.
