Great to meet you!

I am a marriage and family therapist, trained in child psychology at the University of Minnesota and in marriage and family therapy at Argosy University, and I have spent years in that chair. Here is what that might mean on a Tuesday night: You lie awake running the same conversation for the fourth time. You are the one your family calls when something breaks, and nobody calls to ask how you are. You carry your parents' silence about what they survived, and you carry the version of yourself you show at Sunday dinner. There are so many ways our mental health and upbringing can influence the comfort you feel navigating the day to day world, and my role is to help you move through barriers that prevent you from finding that peace you deserve.

My approach to therapy

I ask direct questions. I tell you what I see, kindly and without dressing it up. I work with the family you have, including the people who will never sit on the couch with you. You want someone who will not flinch, and who will not hand you a worksheet and call it care. I also speak Hmong. I know what it costs to translate yourself.

What you can expect from me

If you think you have to arrive with it organized, with the story in order, you do not. Come tired. The first session is fifty minutes on video from wherever you feel steady, me asking what brought you here, you talking as long as you need. Nothing is too small to bring. Send a message, pick a time, and I will be there.
