Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in the state of North Carolina. I have experience working with borderline personality disorder, depression, anxiety, trauma, LGBTQIA+ issues, chronic illness, and life transitions. I use a blend of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and solution-focused techniques to support your specific needs; whether that’s managing emotional intensity, reducing self-destructive patterns, or finding stability.

Healing may not be linear, and may even be a little messy, but it is possible- I invite you to reach out when you’re ready to take that next step.

My approach to therapy

During sessions, I focus on creating a safe and supportive environment so you can comfortably and freely explore your emotions and past lived experiences. My approach to therapy is to meet you exactly where you are while helping you move forward, with a balance of both structure and empathy.

What you can expect from me

The first session is for us to get to know each other, including what's bringing you to therapy, any goals you may have already identified, and what has (or has not!) worked for you with previous therapists. We'll also discuss your background, including family (both found and biological), other social supports, work, academics, etc.

First sessions can feel intimidating, so it's completely understandable if you're nervous going into it! If there are topics you would like to discuss, but want to wait until we're a little more familiar (such as trauma, LGBTQIA+ experiences), that's also perfectly fine! I'm here to meet you where YOU are!
