Great to meet you!

You don’t have to show up to therapy with the right words or have everything figured out. Bring your anxious, overwhelmed, overthinking, distracted, weird, wonderful self. I want to understand what’s really going on beneath the surface, not just hand you a list of coping skills and send you on your way. Together, we’ll look at your story, your relationships, your patterns, and the mind-body factors that may be affecting how you feel. Therapy with me is warm, honest, practical, and occasionally funny because sometimes healing is hard enough without making therapy feel like a clinical textbook.

My approach to therapy

I take a whole-person approach to therapy, especially when working with anxiety, ADHD, depression, stress, and feeling emotionally stuck. Instead of focusing only on symptoms, we get curious about the patterns underneath them and what may be keeping them going. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and other evidence-based approaches to help you quiet the mental noise, challenge patterns that no longer serve you, and respond to yourself with more compassion. We may also explore how sleep, stress, nourishment, routines, and the mind-body connection affect your emotional well-being. The goal isn’t to become a perfectly calm human. It’s to understand yourself better and build a life that actually works for you.

What you can expect from me

Your first session isn’t an interrogation, and you don’t need to tell your entire life story in 50 minutes. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what feels hardest right now, what you’ve already tried, and what you’d like to be different. I’ll ask questions to help us see the bigger picture, including patterns you may not have connected before. Most importantly, we’ll begin figuring out where to start so therapy feels useful and personal to you. You should leave with a clearer sense of what we’re working toward and whether I feel like the right therapist to help you get there.
