Great to meet you!

Hello! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a passion for improving lives and relationships. I know seeking help can be challenging at times, so I'm glad you're here. I hold a Bachelor's in Psychology from Howard University, a Master's in Social Work from the University of Maryland Baltimore, and a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from Virginia Tech. With over 24 years in the field, I'm excited to support you in reaching your mental health goals.

My approach to therapy

We all have a story, and I believe in tailoring therapy to fit each person's unique reason for seeking therapy. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches to meet your specific needs. It's important to me to create a safe, judgment-free space where you can communicate freely and feel respected and valued. When we work together, we'll be partners in your journey. I'll be here to listen, challenge, and support you every step of the way.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you'll have the opportunity to share your story and what you want to achieve in therapy. I'll focus on creating a warm environment where you feel comfortable and secure. From there, we'll work together in to turn your goals into reality. You might get some homework between sessions, and I often use diagrams, videos, and even memes to guide our conversations. We'll figure this out together—and yes, we'll bring in some humor, because laughter really is the best medicine!
