Great to meet you!

I work with teens and adults who are ready to better understand themselves, navigate life's challenges, and create meaningful, lasting change. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, burnout, parenting and family challenges, relationship concerns, grief, or major life transitions. Others may not have the words to describe what they're feeling. They simply know something needs to change and are looking for support, practical tools, and a fresh perspective.

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing virtual therapy to teens and adults across North Carolina. I earned my bachelor's degree in social work from North Carolina Central University and my master's degree in social work from East Carolina University. For nearly a decade, I've had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds in a variety of mental health settings, helping them navigate emotional, behavioral, and life challenges.

Most importantly, I want you to know that you don't have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. If you're willing to show up, we'll work together to help you better understand yourself, build on your strengths, and create meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, genuine, and interactive. I strive to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself, heard without judgment, and supported as you work toward meaningful change.

My goal is for therapy to feel like a conversation, not an interrogation. I don't want you to feel like you're talking to a stranger with a clipboard. I'm not the therapist who simply sits back and nods. I believe in active collaboration, thoughtful feedback, and practical skill-building. I'll celebrate your wins, help you work through difficult moments, ask questions that encourage deeper self-awareness, and gently challenge you when it supports your growth.

Together, we'll focus on understanding the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building practical tools you can use outside of our sessions.

Depending on your needs, our work may include:

• Increasing self-awareness by identifying patterns that may be keeping you stuck.

• Learning practical coping skills to better manage stress, anxiety, difficult emotions, and everyday challenges.

• Expanding your emotional awareness so you can better understand, express, and respond to your emotions.

• Gaining insight through psychoeducation and self-reflection to help you better understand yourself and create lasting change.

I believe the best therapy happens when you feel comfortable enough to be honest, laugh when you need to, process the hard moments, and leave each session with something meaningful you can apply to your everyday life.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about getting to know you. My goal isn't to jump straight into solving problems. I want to understand your story, what brought you to therapy, what's working well in your life, and where you're feeling stuck. We'll discuss your concerns, your goals, and what you hope to gain from therapy while exploring your strengths and the challenges you're facing.

You can expect a relaxed, conversational environment where there's no pressure to have all the answers. This is your opportunity to ask questions, share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with, and begin building a therapeutic relationship based on trust and collaboration.

By the end of our first session, my hope is that you'll feel heard, supported, and encouraged. We'll develop a plan that fits your needs, and you'll leave with a clearer understanding of the next steps. If you're ready to invest in yourself and create meaningful change, I'm ready to help you get there. Together, we'll work to help you feel empowered, evolve, and thrive.
