Great to meet you!

Hello, I provide virtual mental health therapy to teens and adults across North Carolina. With nine years of experience as a licensed clinical social worker, I have had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, helping them navigate a wide range of social and emotional challenges.

I LOVE being a therapist! It brings immense joy to support clients during their lowest moments and witness their transformation into healthier, more empowered versions of themselves. The resilience of my clients has truly been remarkable and inspiring.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in social work from North Carolina Central University and my master’s degree in social work from East Carolina University. Over the years, I have worked in community mental health, a psychiatric hospital, mobile crisis intervention, and outpatient therapy settings.

I’m so glad you’re taking this important step toward prioritizing your mental health. Life can bring unexpected challenges, and at times, it may feel overwhelming or isolating. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, or burnout, please know that you are not alone.

With the right tools and support, you can navigate these challenges and discover effective solutions that empower you to move forward. Your struggles do not define you, and together, we can uncover the strategies that work best for you—helping you build a more fulfilling and authentic life.

If you feel I might be the right person to support you on this journey, I encourage you to take that first step today and schedule an appointment.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach is warm, easygoing, and interactive, creating a space where you feel comfortable while working towards meaningful change. I’m not the therapist who just sits back and nods—I believe in active engagement, valuable feedback, and practical skill-building.

I focus on:

Enhancing self-awareness – Helping clients recognize how their thought patterns influence their emotions and overall well-being.

Providing psychoeducation – Equipping clients with the knowledge and tools to better understand and manage their challenges.

Expanding emotional vocabulary – Encouraging deeper emotional expression beyond just "mad," "sad," or "happy" for greater self-understanding.

Practicing coping skills and self-reflection – Implementing strategies in sessions to promote lasting, meaningful change.

What you can expect from our first session

Our first session will focus on building rapport and gaining a clear understanding of what brought you to therapy.

I will help you explore the reasons behind your decision to seek therapy, clarify your goals, and begin identifying patterns that may be impacting your well-being.

Together, we’ll work on developing insight into your challenges while beginning to build skills that can help you manage stressors more effectively.
