Great to meet you!

Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker in Michigan. I have over 25 years of experience working with individuals and families in child welfare and hospice. I also have several years of experience providing therapy to individuals presenting with symptoms of depression, anxiety, interpersonal conflict and who have experienced trauma.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is relaxed, flexible and informal. Each session, we will work on the plan we have created, or, if needed, we will address current issues you are experiencing. We will explore how your past experiences may be influencing your current thoughts, feelings and behaviors. You will leave therapy understanding more about yourself and with new skills you can take with you for the rest of your life.

What you can expect from me

During our initial sessions, we will explore the issues you are experiencing, and work together to create a plan for working through them. As treatment continues, we will work on any issues that present themselves as we also keep in mind your overall goals. Usually, you will experience relief quickly-within the first few sessions. Most clients feel ready to end treatment around the 12-session mark, some much sooner, and some may require a little more time.
