Great to meet you!

I was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina and up until early 2025 when I moved to Mount Holly, North Carolina, lived there for my entire life. I have worked in the Mental Health and Early Childhood fields since 1994 with a diverse population set, with ages ranging from four through late and aging adulthood. Throughout my life, I have always played the “helper” and “peacemaker” roles, and out of my love of nurturing human relationships, I naturally gravitated to studying Psychology and Clinical Social Work. I thoroughly enjoy working with people to help them create and grow into their “Quality World” through finding their inner strength and building resilience as we do the tough (but rewarding) therapeutic work. I am a member of the National Association of Forensic Counselors and the American Academy of Certified Forensic Counselors, and I routinely consult with local Mental Health agencies that provide community support to fragile populations.

My approach to therapy

I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship between you and me is a partnership through which the conditions for change are created in a holistic environment. I use multiple approaches to help you make a connection to your own strengths that will give you the resources to meet your challenges with more success and fulfillment. I am a firm believer in the benefits of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, and I especially love working with people from the Experiential and Existential approaches to psychotherapy. Mindfulness and Narrative approaches are also readily used during sessions. I believe that change is constant and should be embraced as the way forward in our development, as we re-invent ourselves in healthy ways, we re-create our lives. As we re-create our lives, we learn to respect and embrace change to continually re-invent ourselves. That is how I conceptualize a healthy mental cycle of human development and how we become the person we truly want to be.

What you can expect from me

There is always an opportunity for growth, we just have to move out of our own way!
