Great to meet you!

I am a clinical health psychologist licensed in NC, OH, and FL. My therapeutic training primarily is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) but I also have experience with Gestalt, emotionally focused, and mindfulness-based therapies. My approach is holistic, collaborative, creative, and supportive. I work with adults (ages 18+) through the lifespan experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, adjustment disorders, health issues, role change/loss, chronic pain, or life stress.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is informed by empirically supported therapies, but tailored to meet individual patient needs. I am non-judgmental, informal, empathic, and supportive. I genuinely value individual differences and respect the wisdom patients bring to therapy from their life experiences. Patients learn to observe how their thoughts affect feelings and behaviors; then, they learn to modify maladaptive or unhelpful ways of thinking that trigger stress, unhappiness, or unhealthy behaviors.

What you can expect from me

My practice is exclusively virtual enabling me to work with individuals in NC, OH, and FL. Therapy with me is a collaborative process that includes the mutually agreed upon development of therapy goals, individual therapy sessions, homework, stress management or coping skills development. Beginning therapy is a major step in improving your mental, emotional, and overall well being. Questions are welcome via a free 15-min phone consultation help you find the best fit for you and your needs.
