Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Thamreen, and welcome to Tufts and Tulips Therapy! I’m so glad you’ve taken this important first step toward exploring therapy. I understand how overwhelming it can feel, but I want you to know that you don’t have to navigate it alone. With over ten years of experience as a clinical social worker, I’ve had the honor of supporting people who, like you, were unsure or nervous about starting therapy—and together, from tufts to tulips, we’ve created real and lasting change.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked in hospitals, EAPs, crisis lines, and community mental health settings, offering care to veterans, people experiencing homelessness, refugees, company executives, youth, the elderly, and everyone in between. Whether you’re an individual, couple, or family, I welcome clients of all genders, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and backgrounds, ages 17 and up. Kindness, empathy, and respect are the foundation of my work, and I strive to make sure you feel seen, heard, and valued from day one.

My approach to therapy

I take a personalized approach to therapy, creating treatment plans that reflect your unique needs. My toolbox includes cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, emotionally focused therapy, mindfulness, solution-focused brief therapy, grief counseling, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. I’m also committed to staying up-to-date with new and evolving methods to ensure best practices and care.

Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, life transitions, addictions, trauma, relationship struggles, professional development, or simply feeling stuck, we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. I aim to create a warm, safe space where you can be your authentic self, and together, we’ll work to help you discover and bring forward your best self.

I believe therapy is a collaborative journey, and I’m here to offer guidance, support, and a compassionate, non-judgmental space for you to grow. I look forward to getting to know you and walking alongside you on your path toward healing and self-discovery.

What you can expect from me

From our first session, you can expect a warm, grounded, and non-judgmental space where we go at your pace. We’ll spend time getting to know what brought you in, what you’re hoping for, and what has or hasn’t felt helpful in the past—without pressure to share more than you’re ready to. I’ll also explain how I work, answer any questions you have about therapy, and begin thinking together about goals and next steps so you leave feeling supported, understood, and a little less alone.
