Great to meet you!

Reaching out for therapy takes courage, and I strive to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported from the very first session.

My approach is compassionate, empathetic, and collaborative. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, or simply feeling overwhelmed, I will meet you where you are and work alongside you at a pace that feels comfortable.

Before becoming a licensed clinical mental health counselor, I spent many years caring for others in both caregiving roles and nearly a decade working in a Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) program supporting individuals living with serious mental illness. I currently work on a Community Support Team (CST), helping individuals with complex mental health needs build stability, independence, and hope.

My personal experiences have also shaped who I am as a therapist. As the mother of an autistic child and the daughter of a gay parent, I understand the importance of compassion, acceptance, and creating an affirming space where people feel safe being their authentic selves. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and am committed to providing a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where healing and personal growth can flourish.

My approach to therapy

I believe that therapy is not one-size-fits-all, so I use an eclectic approach tailored to your unique needs, drawing primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical tools for lasting change.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my goal is to get to know you and understand what brings you to therapy. We'll discuss your concerns, your personal history, your strengths, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I'll also answer any questions you have about the therapy process so you know what to expect moving forward.

I know that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, so I strive to create a relaxed, nonjudgmental space where you can share at your own pace. You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin. Together, we'll identify your goals and develop a plan that feels right for you, with therapy tailored to your unique needs and experiences.
