Great to meet you!

I bring 11 years of service as a United States Marine, along with 24 years in recovery from addiction. I have personally experienced profound grief following the loss of my three-year-old son, which ultimately led to divorce, as well as other significant life traumas. These experiences allow me to approach our sessions with a depth of empathy and understanding that cannot be taught or replicated through training alone.

I do not claim that these experiences make me a better therapist; rather, they provide me with a unique perspective and a deeper level of insight into the emotional and psychological struggles clients may face—insight that can be difficult to fully grasp without having walked a similar path.

My goal is to support clients as they navigate their own challenges, helping them reconnect with their authentic selves and move toward their highest potential for success and fulfillment.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is integrative, collaborative, and rooted in both clinical expertise and lived experience. I specialize in working with individuals facing addiction, ADHD, relationship challenges, and major mental health diagnoses. I recognize that healing is not one-size-fits-all, so I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs, goals, and strengths of each client.

I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Client-Centered approaches. I also incorporate recovery-oriented frameworks such as the 12-Step Program and SMART Recovery, depending on the client's preferences and needs.

At the core of my work is the belief that genuine connection, empathy, and respect are essential for meaningful change. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their challenges, gain insight, and develop practical tools to navigate life’s difficulties—ultimately empowering them to live with greater authenticity, purpose, and well-being.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions, you can expect a grounded, compassionate, and judgment-free space where your experiences are met with respect and authenticity. I bring not only clinical training but also lived experience with recovery, trauma, grief, and personal growth—allowing me to connect with clients on a deeper level and truly understand what it means to walk through pain and come out stronger.

My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel empowered to be yourself, speak openly, and explore whatever challenges you're facing. Whether you’re navigating addiction, ADHD, relationship struggles, or a major mental health diagnosis, we’ll work together to identify what’s getting in the way and develop strategies that are both practical and meaningful.

Clients often take away a greater sense of clarity, emotional resilience, and personal insight from our work. I help individuals reconnect with their authentic selves, strengthen their coping skills, and move toward goals that align with who they truly are. Using an integrated approach—including CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, 12-Step support, and SMART Recovery—I tailor each session to support your unique needs and growth.

You don’t have to have it all figured out to start. You just have to be willing to show up—and I’ll meet you there.
