Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families. I earned my degree in Clinical Community Counseling from Johns Hopkins University and am currently a doctoral student in Counselor Education and Supervision. My experience includes school-based therapy and working with active-duty military families. I support clients dealing with academic, emotional, and behavioral concerns, including ADHD, trauma, anxiety, depression, and grief.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and centered on each client’s unique strengths. I strive to create a safe and encouraging environment where clients feel empowered to explore challenges and build on their existing abilities. I believe in incorporating creativity into sessions to help clients better understand and navigate their experiences. My goal is to meet clients where they are, respect their autonomy, and work together to identify meaningful goals while supporting progress toward lasting change. I utilize evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Strengths-Based approaches, and elements of Mindfulness and Play Therapy when appropriate.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to connect in a safe and supportive space. We will talk about what’s been going on in your life and what you hope to gain from therapy. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with—there is no pressure. We will move at your pace as we begin to build trust and a plan for moving forward together.
