Great to meet you!

A few things about me outside of therapy: I have three children, so I understand that life can be beautifully chaotic. I’m a real person, not a therapist robot. I’ll bring authenticity into our work together.

I work with adolescents and adults across a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship and family challenges, grief, and major life transitions. Most importantly, you don’t have to impress me. You don’t have to have the perfect answers or know exactly what you want to say. Therapy can be a place to better understand what you’re experiencing, recognize patterns that may be getting in your way, and develop healthier ways to move forward. Come as you are, and we’ll navigate the hard stuff together.

My approach to therapy

My approach is often humorous, conversational, and straightforward. I believe there is room for laughter in therapy, even when we’re talking about difficult things. If I can help you feel comfortable enough to be honest and occasionally laugh at the ridiculousness of life, I consider that a win.

I’ll meet you with compassion, but I’ll also challenge you when it can help you grow. Drawing from approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness-based therapy, and trauma-focused care, we’ll work together to better understand what’s happening beneath the surface, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools that fit your life.

What you can expect from me

You can expect a judgment-free space. You don’t have to impress me, pretend you’re okay, or tell me what you think I want to hear. You can be honest about the good, the bad, the confusing, and the downright messy. I’m not here to judge you.

Our first session is simply a chance to get to know one another and understand what you’d like support with. We’ll start with what feels most important to you and go from there. I’ll listen, ask questions, offer new perspectives, and help you develop practical ways to create change outside of our sessions. My goal is for you to leave therapy with a better understanding of yourself, greater confidence in handling what life throws your way, and tools you can continue using long after our work together.
