Great to meet you!

Welcome! I'm Tiarra Abu-Bakr, I am a holistic clinical therapist and trauma recovery specialist who integrates neuroscience, somatic therapy, and culturally grounded healing practices to help people move from survival mode into a regulated, embodied life. I specialize in working with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, identity exploration, relational wounds, and the invisible weight many high achieving and marginalized individuals carry.

My work is for people who are ready for a different kind of healing.

My approach to therapy

My approach goes beyond traditional therapy. Together we work with both the mind and the body, because trauma is not just something we think about. It is something we hold. Our work may include nervous system regulation, somatic awareness, psychoeducation, and deeper exploration of the patterns that developed as protection but may no longer serve you.

I am especially passionate about supporting BIPOC and LGBTQ+ individuals, cycle breakers, caregivers, and those doing the courageous work of becoming their authentic selves. I also support people who are used to being strong for everyone else but are ready to experience support themselves.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is not about being analyzed or judged. It is about creating a space where you can exhale.

We will begin by talking about what brought you to therapy, but at your pace. You do not have to share everything at once. Safety and trust are built over time, and we honor that process here.
