Great to meet you!

Helping others has always been a deep passion of mine, and it continues to guide my purpose as a therapist. I am genuine, caring, and honest, and I bring a personable, lighthearted presence to the work while staying focused on helping clients achieve their goals.

As an African-American, heterosexual woman, my identity and lived experience inform the way I show up in the therapeutic space. I am intentional about practicing cultural competence, valuing diversity, and remaining mindful of the dynamics that arise when people from different backgrounds come together.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, behavioral challenges, grief and loss, learning difficulties, and parent-child relationship issues.

My approach to therapy

Seeking therapy is a courageous step toward healing, and I honor the strength it takes to begin that journey. My approach is welcoming and flexible—“come as you are”—and we will work together at a pace that feels right for you.

Life often brings challenges that can leave us feeling overwhelmed, and my role is to help clients reconnect with their inner strengths and move toward the change they want to see.

What you can expect from me

I like to refer to the first session as a 'getting to know you' session. It focuses on building therapeutic rapport, gathering information, and establishing goals. I provide a safe, authentic, and supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and respected.
