Great to meet you!

Life rarely changes one thing at a time. A shift in your health, family, work, or relationships can bring new stress while also stirring up experiences you thought you had already handled. You may find yourself anxious, discouraged, grieving, emotionally worn down, or unsure of who you are in the middle of it all.

I work with adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, loss, relationship concerns, chronic health challenges, and major transitions. Some clients come to therapy during a specific crisis. Others have noticed a gradual change in how they feel and want to understand it before things become harder.

My style is calm and collaborative. I tend to slow the conversation down so we can pay attention to what is happening beneath the immediate problem. We might examine how you respond to stress, what you have learned to expect from other people, or why certain situations affect you as strongly as they do. From there, we can find coping tools and choices that suit your life rather than forcing a standard solution.

I have spent more than ten years working with adults in inpatient, outpatient, and virtual settings. My experience as a military spouse and the wife of a combat-injured veteran also informs my understanding of caregiving, uncertainty, changing family roles, and the cumulative weight of prolonged stress.

The first few sessions give us time to understand what brought you in and decide whether our work together feels useful.

My approach to therapy

Seeking support is often the hardest and most courageous step a person can take, and I strive to make the process feel safe and collaborative from the start. My approach to therapy is grounded in a supportive, strengths-based perspective, where we work together to understand your experiences and move toward meaningful change. In a fully virtual setting, I help clients explore their thoughts and feelings and identify their goals in a nonjudgmental space, so they can develop coping strategies that fit their unique needs and circumstances. I draw from multiple therapeutic approaches, including strengths-based perspectives, mindfulness practices, solution-focused therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy, to create a flexible, personalized experience that supports growth, resilience, and healing.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a calm, welcoming space where we begin getting to know one another and clarify what brought you to therapy. Together, we explore your goals, discuss what you hope to gain from our work, and identify the initial steps that feel most supportive. My focus is on creating a safe, non‐judgmental environment where you can speak openly, feel heard, and start building a partnership that guides the rest of your therapeutic journey.
