Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Social Worker in North Carolina and South Carolina. I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Winthrop University and have over 20 years of experience working with adults, children/adolescents, and families. I am also the Co-Author of a children's book entitled Your Feelings Matter: A Story for Children Who Have Witnessed Domestic Violence. In my free time, I enjoy traveling and experiencing new cultures.

My approach to therapy

I am professionally trained in trauma-focused modalities and treatment approaches, including the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics, Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI), Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Crisis Intervention, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT). I also incorporate Strength-Based and Solution-Focused Therapy into my practice.

What you can expect from me

After completion of any necessary assessments, we will move into our initial session together. In that first session, you can expect us to work on treatment planning and psychoeducation regarding your diagnosis, as well as begin building a therapeutic alliance.
