Great to meet you!
I began my career working with children as a certified teacher. I taught for 9 years in public schools working with elementary through middle school students. I quickly realized that in a teaching role I wasn’t able to support the social/emotional needs of my students and needed to do more. I attended graduate school to pursue a Masters degree in School Counseling. Since graduating with my Masters degree from Capella University, I have worked as a middle school counselor.
In 2023 decided to begin working as a clinical counselor. Doing so expands my ability to support a more diverse set of individuals. I have worked with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, relationships & conflicts, self-esteem, self harm, grief & loss, and life transitions. In addition, I have years of experience working with school issues including 504 plans, IEP's, learning disabilities, college planning, bullying, and test anxiety.
I see clients as young as 5 years old through adulthood. I look forward to supporting you with your challenges, goals, and celebrating your accomplishments.
