Great to meet you!

I have an extensive history working with clients of various backgrounds, experiences, and concerns. I have Master and PsyD degrees in Clinical Psychology and have been a therapist/provider for approximately the past 30 years. (over 20 years as an independently licensed therapist) I am currently licensed in the states of Utah, Pennsylvania, and New Hampshire and can provide telehealth services for residents living in these states. I am also approved to accept many insurance plans.

For the past 18+ years I have worked for the Department of the Army, providing direct mental health care for active-duty soldiers and their dependents in both Germany and the US. My clinical focus has addressed issues and concerns related to addictive and other compulsive disorders, trauma, loss, military life, and other issues related to depression and anxiety.

I am empathic, a good listener, and client centered. I also feel that I am uniquely qualified to explore other potential patient concerns related to such things as anomalous experiences like NDE that can sometimes be difficult to process or come to terms with. These experiences are often not explored in therapy due to patient fears of not being taken seriously, being ridiculed, misunderstood, or even misdiagnosed. It is clients with these types of experiences; clients dealing with existential crisis; substantial loss or trauma; or clients dealing with substance abuse and other compulsive disorders, that I would like to primarily limit my telehealth practice to.

I look forward to the opportunity to work with you to achieve your therapeutic goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy centers around my philosophy and worldview that we live in and are a part of a universe that is both physical and spiritual, and that we are able to find meaning and purpose in life, and become more fulfilled, authentic people if we are mindful; open to our subjective experience; able to self-reflect; and are willing to trust our innate qualities and talents to learn, grow, and heal.

What you can expect from me

I think some basic take aways from our sessions would be that there is good reason for optimism, and that growth - whether it be physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, relational or other - is an organic creative process that we are all capable of achieving.
