Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Tina Garrison a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and graduate of Walden University with more than 22 years of experience as a Registered Nurse. My extensive clinical background includes providing care to individuals in memory care, dementia care, and acute psychiatric settings.

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I am committed to providing compassionate, individualized, and evidence-based mental health care. My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, stress management, women’s mental health, and panic disorders. I serve the adult population ages 18-65.

My approach to therapy

My approach to mental health care is client-centered, collaborative, and individualized. I believe that each client should be an active and empowered participant in their care. I work collaboratively with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that reflect their unique needs, preferences, strengths, goals, and individual circumstances.

I am committed to creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, valued, and respected. Every individual is treated with dignity, compassion, and respect throughout their mental health journey. My goal is to partner with each client in developing meaningful strategies that promote emotional well-being, personal growth, and improved quality of life.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, you will have the opportunity to share your concerns, experiences, and reasons for seeking mental health care. We will discuss your personal and mental health history, current symptoms, and any factors that may be affecting your overall well-being.

The initial session is also an opportunity for us to get to know one another and establish a comfortable, supportive environment. My goal is to build rapport and trust while developing a strong therapeutic relationship that serves as the foundation for your ongoing care.

Together, we will begin identifying your needs and goals and discuss appropriate treatment options to support your mental health and overall well-being.
