Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Tineka Harmon, clinician and cofounder of Ebony Grace Wellness. I have experience working with individuals and families across community mental health, foster care, corrections, and clinical settings. These experiences have shaped my compassionate and practical approach to supporting clients through life’s challenges.

I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, helping clients identify patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and build emotional resilience.

At Ebony Grace Wellness, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered on their journey toward healing, hope, and strength. Faith-based perspectives can also be incorporated when desired.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and strengths-based. I work to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to explore the challenges they are facing. Together, we identify patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may be contributing to distress and develop practical strategies to promote healing and personal growth.

I often incorporate cognitive and behavioral approaches to help clients recognize how core beliefs, past experiences, and current stressors influence their reactions and relationships. I also integrate psychoeducation and skill-building to help clients strengthen coping strategies, improve communication, and build emotional resilience.

My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, and stress management. I have experience working with adolescents and adults, including individuals navigating complex family dynamics, behavioral health challenges, and adjustment to difficult life circumstances. For clients who desire it, I can also incorporate faith-based perspectives into the therapeutic process.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect the first session to focus on getting to know one another and establishing a comfortable, supportive environment. During this time, I invite clients to share what brings them to therapy, any concerns they are currently facing, and what they hope to gain from the counseling process. My goal is to ensure clients feel heard, respected, and safe as they begin discussing their experiences.

We will also review important background information, discuss current symptoms or stressors, and begin identifying goals for treatment. I will explain how therapy typically works, answer any questions, and collaborate with the client to develop a preliminary plan for moving forward.

The first session is not about having all the answers right away, but about building a foundation of trust and beginning a process focused on healing, growth, and developing practical strategies to support emotional well-being.
