Great to meet you!

Hi there, I'm Todd, owner of Swanson Psychology with over 30+ years of experiencing helping treat adults with chronic pain, trauma, anxiety and depression. I have a background in biology and psychical therapy, making me an expert on the human body. Through my expertise, I treat somatic pain and conduct biofeedback training for stress reduction as well.

My approach to therapy

I practice talk therapy — real, honest conversation that helps you understand what's going on and figure out a path forward. My style is warm but direct; I'm not going to just nod along, I'm going to engage with you and help you work through things in a meaningful way. After two decades in this field, I've learned that the most important ingredient in good therapy is a trusting relationship, and that's what I work to build from day one.

What you can expect from me

The first session is all about getting to know each other. I'll ask about what's brought you in, what your life looks like right now, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy — and I'll make sure you have plenty of space to ask me questions too. By the end, you should feel heard and have a clear sense of what we're working toward together.
