Great to meet you!

It is incredibly common to feel anxious and uncomfortable when seeking help, and you may even hesitate to begin therapy. I understand you come here seeking support for your difficulties, and it is a profound privilege to help you establish a safe, empowering baseline for your care. With a total of 33 years of clinical experience, including 13 years as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Texas before bringing my practice to New Mexico and Arizona, I have dedicated my life to advocating for families and the elderly. As a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker speaking both English and Spanish, I offer holistic psychotherapy for adults, seniors, and couples navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD, and complex relationship issues. On a personal note, my educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Human Relations with a minor in Bible and a Master's degree in Social Work, and I am married with six wonderful children. I am fiercely dedicated to tailoring our sessions to meet your unique needs and goals within a completely confidential space.

My approach to therapy

I am a cognitive behavior therapist and use ACT which is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I also use Imago Informed Therapy for couples.I believe that genuine emotional growth flourishes when we balance robust, evidence-based clinical practices with a deeply authentic human connection. As a holistic psychotherapist, my core foundational approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. By utilizing these methods, we can identify unhelpful thought patterns and help you commit to actions that align with your values. If you are seeking couples sessions, I incorporate Imago Informed Therapy and Gottman Method principles to help you and your partner deepen your understanding of one another and rebuild a secure connection. By blending these modalities, we will outline tangible goals to ensure our therapeutic work translates into meaningful, sustainable progress in your everyday life. Together, we will explore ways to move forward that feel right for you.

What you can expect from me

Reaching out for support takes immense courage, and my hope is that our initial telehealth meeting acts as a quiet refuge where you can safely step away from the heavy demands of daily stress. I am a warm, rapport-building therapist, and you can expect genuine empathy and comfort right from the start. We will gently explore your history, symptoms, and client-centered goals, and we will always go at your own pace and timing without any pressure to share everything all at once. I want to create a space where you can feel truly heard and supported. I look forward to getting to know you—and your partner if you want couples sessions—as we collaboratively design a clear roadmap for your healing journey.
