Great to meet you!

Welcome to T.C.G. Counseling Services!

As a licensed clinical addiction specialist (LCAS), I wholeheartedly congratulate you in taking this major step in starting your recovery journey! I'm sincerely grateful to be a part of this transformational journey with you. I've worked within the addiction field for over 25 years and have witnessed the profound benefits of sobriety in the lives of clients. Because therapy is a significant investment in one's life...it takes dedication, time and energy, I asked clients to be committed to achieving their established goals. Working collaboratively, we may encounter some "bumps in the road" but we will overcome them together to achieve success.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy...

Building a positive therapeutic relationship is paramount to me as a therapist. I strive to create a safe, empowering and supportive environment built on empathy and respect; promote an environment that embraces unconditional positive regard where clients feel accepted and valued; provide active listening to fully comprehend the client's perspective and experiences; encourage open and honest communication to assist clients in feeling comfortable in sharing their thoughts and beliefs; I will support you, yet, challenge you as we built trust throughout the therapeutic process. I value confidentiality, professionalism and hope to empower clients to be all they can be in life.

What you can expect from me

For the introductory session, clients will have the opportunity to share their stories, share their expectations, and what they hope to achieve in therapy. From each session, the client can "expect to take away" being one step closer to achieving their established goals, if he/she does the necessary work (complete homework assignments, engage in open and honest communication, be vulnerable with expressing one's feelings and thoughts, etc.). I strive to create a secure, caring, authentic, warm environment where the client is SEEN and HEARD.
