Great to meet you!

Toya Miller is a Licensed Professional Counselor, who graduated in with a Master in Behavioral Science in 2019. Her focus is on providing individuals (ages 3-25) with the tools they need to overcome their inner struggles, navigate the challenges of life, and develop resiliency for their future. Some of her specialties include anxiety, adjustment disorders, depression, self harm and suicidal ideation, ADHD, low self-esteem, divorce, grief, social skills/peer relationships, behavioral issues, transitional issues, and parent-child attachment work (helping parents connect with their children to build more meaningful relationships)

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and client-centered. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for us to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences together. We will work as a team to identify the sources of your difficulties and help you move toward a more fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect an initial conversation aimed at building trust and gathering necessary background information to understand their current concerns and goals for therapy. The majority of the first session will be a conversation where the counselor asks open-ended questions to learn more about you. You should not expect to solve all your problems in the first session.
