Great to meet you!

I am a compassionate, dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with extensive experience in mental health, substance use treatment, and residential treatment services, including detoxification and recovery support for individuals struggling with drug and alcohol use. I hold a master’s degree in counseling and a master’s degree in criminal justice administration, which provide me with a diverse perspective on the emotional, behavioral, social, and life challenges that individuals may experience.

Throughout my career, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families, providing support through clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches. My professional experience also includes residential treatment program management, staff supervision, therapeutic program development, motivational counseling, federal probation counseling services, and working with veterans through VA-related services.

My approach to therapy

My counseling approach is person-centered, supportive, and focused on helping each individual recognize their strengths and achieve meaningful change.

I specialize in supporting individuals experiencing mental health challenges, anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and other personal struggles. I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves honestly and exploring the changes they want to make in their lives.

My goal is to meet each client where they are, help them recognize their potential, and provide the guidance and tools they need to move forward with greater confidence, resilience, and hope. I consider it a privilege to support individuals on their journeys toward healing, recovery, personal growth, and an improved quality of life.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, clients can expect a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where they can feel comfortable sharing their concerns, experiences, and goals. My priority is to help clients feel heard, respected, and understood while beginning to build a trusting therapeutic relationship.

Our first session will focus on getting to know you, understanding what brings you to counseling, discussing your current challenges, and identifying what you hope to accomplish through therapy. We will explore your strengths, concerns, and personal goals while beginning to develop a plan that reflects your individual needs and circumstances. You will have the opportunity to ask questions, express concerns, and learn more about how I approach counseling.

You can expect encouragement, honesty, compassion, and a safe space to be yourself as we work together toward healing, growth, and a healthier future.
