Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Dr. Tracy LaChapelle, MA, LPC, LCPC, Ed.D ("Dr. T"). (***Any usage of “Dr.” and “Doctor” is for the purpose of being a Licensed Clinical Therapist: Not a medical doctor; does not prescribe medication). I’m here to help you navigate life’s challenges with confidence and compassion.

I draw on evidence-based, trauma-informed care to support you if you’re working through trauma, depression, anxiety, loneliness, ADHD, or other forms of neurodiversity, disabilities, self-esteem concerns, social anxiety, autism, identity gender awareness, or major life transitions.

I’m deeply committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your identity, feel supported, and experience genuine acceptance.

I believe therapy isn’t about changing who you are—it’s about discovering your strengths and supporting you in becoming your truest self. Together, we’ll move at your pace as you heal, grow, and thrive.

My approach to therapy

Therapy works best when you feel safe, understood, and supported—and that’s the environment I strive to create from our very first session. I show up as my authentic self: warm, grounded, and genuinely invested in your wellbeing. Many clients tell me they appreciate that therapy with me feels real and relatable rather than overly formal or distant.

Building a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change. When you feel comfortable being yourself, it becomes easier to explore challenges, gain insight, and begin making the changes you want in your life. Together, we’ll create a space where you can speak openly, feel heard, and move at a pace that feels right for you.

I believe you already have the capacity to grow and thrive. My role is to help you reconnect with your strengths, develop resilience, and move toward lasting, empowering change. With support, insight, and practical tools, therapy can become a place where healing and transformation truly begin.

  • Specializing in trauma-informed, gender-affirming, LGBTQ+. Certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Neurodiversity Coaching: Broad range of neurological profiles, such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and dyspraxia.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is designed to feel comfortable, relaxed, and pressure-free. My approach is laid-back, flexible, and often includes a little humor to help you feel at ease.

You’ll have space to share what brings you in, what you’d like to work toward, and what “feeling better” looks like for you. Think of it like setting a destination in a GPS—you choose where you want to go, and together we’ll figure out the path to get there.

In our first meeting, you can expect:

  • A warm, nonjudgmental space
  • Time to talk at your own pace
  • Gentle questions to help clarify your goals
  • Collaboration on a plan that feels realistic and empowering

You don’t need to prepare or have everything figured out—just come as you are. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer sense of direction and how we can work together moving forward.
