Great to meet you!

What should you know about me? I’m a licensed professional clinical counselor and the founder of Reflections Counseling, based in Minnesota. I’ve been working in the mental health field for over 10 years and have experience supporting adults and teenagers (16+) through anxiety, trauma, grief, identity exploration, and relationship stress.

I became a therapist because I’ve always been drawn to the complexity of people’s stories. I know what it’s like to wrestle with self-doubt, to feel stuck in old patterns, or to carry pain that hasn’t had a place to land. Therapy made a difference in my own life, and I believe in its power to create meaningful change. I bring that belief into the room with every client.

I work primarily with individual adults who are thoughtful, self-aware, and often navigating transitions or inner conflicts that feel hard to name. Many of my clients are highly sensitive, perfectionistic, or carrying trauma that shows up in subtle but persistent ways. They’re looking not just for symptom relief, but for deeper clarity, healing, and self-trust.

I earned my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Minnesota State University, Mankato. I’ve completed advanced training in trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches. I also provide clinical supervision for LPCC candidates and enjoy supporting new therapists as they grow in their work.

In session, you can expect me to show up as a real person. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, reflect what I notice, and hold space with honesty, warmth, and care. Therapy with me is collaborative, flexible, and focused on what matters most to you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is relational, thoughtful, and collaborative. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all treatment. Instead, I work to understand who you are, what matters to you, and what’s getting in the way. I draw from evidence-based approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed care, but I use them flexibly, not rigidly, so they actually fit your lived experience.

I see therapy as a space where we slow down, make sense of your thoughts and emotions, and build awareness around the patterns that are shaping your life. Sometimes that means practical tools and structure. Other times it means sitting with discomfort or grief and letting things unfold at your pace.

Most of all, I aim to create a space where you can be honest, curious, and fully yourself. I’ll show up with warmth and honesty, ask questions that get to the heart of things, and help you move toward the kind of change that feels meaningful to you.

What you can expect from me

Clients often leave sessions with more clarity, perspective, and a sense of feeling grounded. You can expect to better understand your patterns, emotions, and needs, and how they show up in your daily life and relationships. I’ll help you slow things down, reflect intentionally, and build the insight and tools you need to make decisions that align with your values.

Over time, many clients report feeling more self-aware, more confident in their boundaries, and better able to handle stress or uncertainty. Our work together is not about quick fixes, but about creating real, lasting shifts in how you relate to yourself and the world around you.

You don’t need to have it all figured out to start. You just need a willingness to be curious, and I’ll meet you there.
