Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Tyrone D. McDuffie Jr., and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master’s degree in Community Counseling. I have been practicing since 2019, and I bring a unique blend of clinical experience and life perspective to my work.

As a U.S. Army veteran and Christian minister, I offer a compassionate, grounded, and faith-informed approach to therapy. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing PTSD, especially veterans and active-duty military personnel. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you can heal, grow, and gain the tools needed to navigate life’s challenges.

Whether you're coping with trauma, navigating a major life transition, or seeking spiritual integration in your mental health journey, I’m here to walk with you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is client-centered, compassionate, and collaborative. I believe in meeting clients where they are and creating a safe, nonjudgmental space for healing, growth, and transformation. I utilize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and solution-focused techniques, and I’m also able to integrate Christian faith-based principles when desired by the client.

As both a veteran and a minister, I bring a unique perspective to therapy, especially when supporting those dealing with trauma, PTSD, grief, and moral injury. I have extensive experience working with veterans, military families, and individuals navigating life transitions.

I work with clients ages 13 and up and strive to help each person build resilience, gain insight, and reconnect with their sense of purpose. My goal is to walk alongside you with empathy and respect as you move toward healing and wholeness.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave each session with greater clarity, emotional relief, and practical tools to manage life’s challenges. I aim to create a supportive, calm, and respectful environment where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered. Whether we are working through trauma, anxiety, grief, or life transitions, my goal is to help clients strengthen their emotional resilience, develop healthier thinking patterns, and reconnect with purpose and hope.

Because I work with adolescents and adults, I adapt my approach to each individual's stage of life and personal goals. I also bring a trauma-informed and faith-sensitive lens to the work we do, especially for those navigating military experiences, PTSD, or spiritual struggles.

Ultimately, clients can expect a safe space to be real, reflect deeply, and grow—spiritually, emotionally, and mentally.
