Hello, my name is Valarie James, and I am a licensed therapist with a passion for helping individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges while building healthier, more fulfilling lives. I bring a unique approach to counseling by integrating traditional therapeutic methods with wellness practices that honor the connection between mind and body. With dual master’s degrees in Social Work and Public Health, as well as extensive training in evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), I am committed to providing compassionate, personalized care to each client I serve.
I work with adults across diverse backgrounds who are seeking support for issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship concerns, and life transitions. I also have experience providing couples counseling, helping partners strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and develop deeper connections.
