Great to meet you!

My name is Vanessa Wade, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). I work with adults navigating major life crises and significant life changes who may be experiencing emotional pain, grief, anxiety, sadness, confusion, loss, relationship challenges, or feeling disconnected from themselves and uncertain about what comes next.

My approach to therapy

My approach is human-centered, collaborative, and clinically grounded. I bring clinical knowledge, therapeutic tools, and perspective, while you bring your lived experience, story, and goals. Together, we work to understand what you are experiencing, process difficult emotions, develop practical skills, and identify meaningful ways forward.

What you can expect from me

In our first few sessions, you can expect a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space to talk about what brings you to counseling and begin making sense of where you are. We will explore your concerns, identify what you hope to work toward, and begin developing tools and strategies that fit your needs, goals, and pace.

What is central to my approach is meeting you where you are without judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. I don't believe you have to rush through your pain in order to move forward. I walk alongside you, offering clinical expertise, support, and practical tools while honoring your voice, your experiences, and your pace.

I am passionate about this work because I believe people deserve to feel heard, valued, understood, and supported, especially during the moments when life feels uncertain or overwhelming. There is something deeply meaningful to me about seeing a person move from feeling hurt, lost, or disconnected to recognizing their own strength, reconnecting with themselves, and beginning to feel hopeful about what comes next.
