Great to meet you!

My work begins with a single focus: helping you feel better, as quickly as possible. I don’t believe in a “one size fits all” approach to therapy. Instead, I tailor my approach on an individual, case-by-case basis, looking to best meet your goals and needs and, ultimately, empower you to remove the barriers to becoming your best self.

I treat adults 18+ with a wide variety of presenting concerns. I specialize in working with women and, as a mom myself, love working with parents who are struggling to find their identity in the overwhelm of parenthood. I feel that I excel in helping clients who are in transitions of various kinds and those who are navigating difficult relationships.

My approach to therapy

My theoretical approach is integrative, although I primarily implement cognitive-behavioral and interpersonal approaches. I find that understanding negative or irrational thought patterns often proves beneficial to overcoming the negative feelings and mood states that hold you back. Modifying behaviors—such as improving sleep, reducing anxiety through breathing and relaxation techniques, and improving other forms of self-care—can result in further change. Additionally, my interpersonal approach focuses on helping you understand your symptoms in the context of your relationships.

What you can expect from me

I consider myself a more “active” therapist. I think it’s important to have set goals for therapy and to be checking in on those goals regularly. Often we will end our sessions collaborating on something small you could practice between our sessions. This could be something like observing a behavior or thought pattern over the week, journaling, or checking out a certain podcast or book.
