Great to meet you!

I’m a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) providing psychiatric care for adults in Oregon, including Portland, through telehealth. I specialize in medication management and psychiatric evaluations for anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD/trauma, and bipolar disorder.

At the center of my work is a deep belief in the humanity of every person I meet. I understand what it feels like to move through the world with multiple marginalized identities, and I bring that lived perspective into my clinical practice. People do not show up with symptoms in isolation. We arrive with histories, identities, traumas, strengths, and hopes that shape how we experience ourselves and how we heal. I hold all of that with intention and respect.

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I blend evidence-based psychopharmacology with a very human, individualized approach. My clients often tell me they feel seen as a whole person rather than a checklist of criteria. I want your story to matter in the room. I want your goals to guide our direction. I want you to feel that growth is not only possible but supported. I work with adults managing mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, psychosis-spectrum conditions, and the added weight of societal or interpersonal stressors that can complicate everyday life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is steady, collaborative, and very intentional. I focus on creating treatment plans that actually work in real life, not just on paper. I use evidence-based psychopharmacology and structured clinical reasoning to guide decisions, but I also look closely at patterns, habits, stressors, and the practical realities of your day-to-day world. Good care requires both solid science and genuine flexibility, and I hold both with equal weight.

I believe in clear communication, consistency, and honest dialogue. I will explain my clinical thinking so you always understand the “why” behind a recommendation. I check in often, adjust when needed, and stay attentive to how treatment is affecting your functioning, mood, and overall well-being. My goal is to make mental health care feel accessible and grounded, so you never feel lost in the process or left figuring things out alone.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really about getting to know each other. I will take a thorough clinical history, but it will feel like a conversation rather than a checklist. I want to understand what has been happening in your life, how you make sense of your experiences, and what you are hoping to change. At the same time, you are also getting a feel for me and whether my style feels right for you. This is our chance to build a foundation together.

I ask thoughtful questions and help guide the discussion, but I am also paying attention to who you are as a person, not just the symptoms you describe. I look for patterns, strengths, and context while giving space for anything you want to share. By the end of the session, I will share my clinical impressions, talk through possible next steps, and make sure you have a clear sense of what working together could look like. My goal is for the first session to feel steady, honest, and collaborative, so you walk away feeling understood and supported.
