Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Washington. I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Portland State University and am committed to providing evidence-based, compassionate care tailored to each client's unique needs.

I work with adolescents (ages 15–18) and adults (ages 18–65+) experiencing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, and difficulties with emotion regulation. I strive to create a respectful, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel supported in exploring their experiences and working toward meaningful change.

My therapeutic approach is individualized and integrates evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), , and psychodynamic principles. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor treatment to each person's goals, strengths, and circumstances.

Clients often find that I am both supportive and engaged in the therapeutic process. I believe therapy works best when we collaborate openly, balancing insight with practical strategies that can be applied in everyday life. Whether you're seeking to manage current challenges, heal from past experiences, or develop healthier patterns, my goal is to help you build resilience, deepen self-understanding, and create lasting change aligned with your values.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is a collaborative process built on trust, authenticity, and mutual respect. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel safe exploring life's challenges, gaining insight, and developing meaningful strategies for change.

I take an individualized approach to treatment, recognizing that each person's experiences, strengths, and goals are unique. I integrate evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Values-Based Therapy (VBT), and psychodynamic principles, tailoring treatment to meet your specific needs.

My style is both compassionate and active. Together, we'll explore patterns that may be contributing to distress while building practical skills to help you manage difficult emotions, improve relationships, and navigate life's challenges with greater confidence. Whether we're processing past experiences, addressing present concerns, or working toward future goals, I strive to balance insight with actionable strategies that support lasting change.

Above all, I believe therapy should empower you to better understand yourself, strengthen your resilience, and build a life that reflects your values and what matters most to you.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a foundation for our work together. We'll spend time discussing what brought you to therapy, your current concerns, relevant personal history, and what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process.

I'll ask questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, relationships, and any factors that may be affecting your well-being. You're also encouraged to ask questions about my approach, the therapy process, or anything else that will help you feel informed and comfortable.

Together, we'll begin identifying your goals and discuss a treatment plan that reflects your needs and priorities. While the first session is primarily focused on assessment and understanding your unique situation, you'll leave with a clearer sense of what our work together may look like and the next steps moving forward.

There is no expectation to share everything in the first session. Therapy is a process, and we will move at a pace that feels comfortable while creating a collaborative, respectful, and supportive environment for growth and lasting change.
