Great to meet you!

I have been a behavioral health clinician since 2003, when I received my masters degree from San Francisco State University. I have spent much of my professional life working in community behavioral health, prior to entering private practice in 2022. I also served from 2017 until 2026 on the DC Board of Professional Counseling. I specialize in treating trauma, anxiety, and depression. I also have experience working with the LGBTQ+ communities and people experiencing infertility and other reproductive health issues.

My approach to therapy

Whether you are looking to make a major life change, improve a relationship, or address significant mental health challenges, I am here to listen, provide support, and offer honest feedback. I like people. I want to hear about your experiences, challenges, and successes. Reliability, honesty, and transparency are key qualities of my work. The therapeutic relationship is a partnership. You are the expert on your life. I bring my 20 years of professional experience to assist you in making the change you are seeking.

I utilize different approaches depending on the needs of my clients, though I focus particularly on evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness.

What you can expect from me

I look forward to hearing from you in our first session about what is bringing you to therapy. I will also give you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the process, or my professional style and experience. It's important that you feel like I am a good fit for the work you're hoping to do.
