Great to meet you!

Therapy doesn’t have to mean that something is “wrong” with you. Sometimes, life simply becomes overwhelming—and having a supportive, nonjudgmental space to slow down, understand what you’re experiencing, and find a way forward can make a meaningful difference.

I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker with 8 years of experience supporting individuals through stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma, and other difficult seasons of life. My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you better understand yourself, identify what you need, and develop practical tools that actually fit your life.

I especially enjoy working with adults who may appear to have everything together on the outside while privately feeling overwhelmed, anxious, exhausted, or stuck. Together, we can work toward greater balance, stronger boundaries, healthier coping strategies, and a greater sense of confidence in navigating life.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. We can start exactly where you are.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I believe therapy should feel like a safe space where you can be honest about what you’re experiencing without fear of judgment.

I take the time to understand your experiences, strengths, relationships, and goals rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that may be contributing to stress or feeling stuck and identify practical strategies that fit your life.

I incorporate evidence-based approaches, including cognitive-behavioral, strengths-based, and mindfulness-informed techniques, while tailoring treatment to your individual needs and goals. I also use evidence-based assessment tools and standardized scales throughout therapy when appropriate. These help us track changes over time, measure progress beyond simply “feeling better,” and make sure our work continues to focus on what is most meaningful and helpful to you.

Most importantly, I see therapy as a partnership. You don’t have to navigate everything alone, and you don’t have to change who you are to create a life that feels more manageable, balanced, and fulfilling. My goal is for you to leave therapy with greater insight, practical tools, and a clearer sense of confidence in your ability to navigate life.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin creating a comfortable, supportive space for therapy. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping to work on, and what you would like to be different in your life.

I’ll ask questions about your current stressors, relationships, experiences, strengths, and coping strategies so I can better understand the bigger picture. When appropriate, we may also use evidence-based assessment tools to establish a baseline and help us measure progress as therapy continues.

You do not need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to talk about. We can start wherever feels most comfortable for you. There is no expectation that you share anything before you’re ready.

By the end of our first session, we’ll have a better understanding of your goals and begin developing a plan together. My hope is that you leave feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of how therapy can support you moving forward.
