Dr. Vikki T. Gaskin-Butler is a licensed psychologist (clinical and health psychology), ordained clergy person, and yoga teacher. She is licensed as a psychologist in Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina, and maintains a small private practice via telehealth. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Spelman College. She received a Master of Science and Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Florida. She also received a Master of Divinity degree from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. Dr. Vikki draws on her knowledge of human potential from her experience as a psychologist, ordained clergy person, and yoga teacher to support the psychological, spiritual, and physical well-being of all people.

My approach to therapy

Dr. Vikki utilizes an integrative approach to counseling and psychotherapy. She incorporates elements of multicultural psychotherapy and spirituality, as well as interpersonal, cognitive-behavioral, acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy when needed. Dr. Vikki also incorporates yoga in her practice. Dr. Vikki tailors her approach to each individual client, group, or organization.

What you can expect from me

Initial sessions with Dr. Vikki include a thorough assessment of each client's concerns. After the initial assessment is complete, the Client and Dr. Vikki will collaboratively create a flexible treatment plan that includes treatment goals and objectives.
