Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a PhD in Clinical Psychology. Until deciding to go into private practice I was the Statewide Mental Health Director for the Department of Correction for the state of Delaware. I am fortunate to have a wealth of experience working with and overseeing a diverse population. In addition, I provide oversight for a non-profit with a mission to prevent suicide and stop bullying. I help children and adults struggling with daily life changing challenges through cognitive behavioral and solution focused therapy.

My approach to therapy

I believe in meet the client where they are at the present time and assist them in working on their identified goal. The therapy modality depends on the client's needs and abilities. I am trained in several modalities from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused to Play Therapy, Equine Assisted Therapy and Hypnotherapy. Every client is an individual and after a complete assessment the appropriate modality will be implemented too best serve the client.

What you can expect from me

During our first session working together we will explore what brings you to therapy and what previous experience you might have had with therapy. We might talk about specific challenges you might be facing and set goals. This would help me tailer a treatment plan that we create together to meet your needs.
